g3x win Rising Stars South America

G3nerationX have won Rising Stars South America #1, which featured $3,000 in cash prizes, after defeating Keyd Stars 2-1 in the grand final (9-16 on de_cache, 16-10 on de_dust2 and 16-12 on de_inferno).

Starting with eight teams from various countries in South America region, the grand final of the tournament saw two Brazilian teams clash for the victory: g3x and Keyd Stars.

Keyd Stars weren't really tested as they won both of their matches 2-0 against Team rEAK from Chile in the quarter-finals and against Brekan Gaming from Argentina in the semis. g3x, on the other hand, managing to beat another Chilean team KLG 2-0 in the quarter finals, went up against another Brazilian team Santos Dexterity. This semi-final matchup ended up as a 2-1 victory for g3x but they had to work for this one.

nak tried his best but wasn't able to carry his team to the championship 

The grand finals started with Keyd Stars winning their opponent's pick which was de_cache. With Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe's and Renato "⁠nak⁠" Nakano dominating performances, Keyd had a relatively easy map win with a 16-9 score.

In the second map, which ended 16-10 in g3x's favor, Gustavo "⁠yel⁠" Knittel led the way and helped his team win de_dust2. Despite nak's incredible effort on the third and the last map, de_inferno, g3x was able to win it 16-12 and they managed to complete their series comeback.

With this result, the champions g3x took home $2,000 in cash prize, while their runner-up fellow countrymen were rewarded with $1,000.
